Spring Hill is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and welcomes donations of any size.  All gifts are appreciated and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law (check with your tax professional).

Annual Giving Campaign

Spring Hill is the only K-8 school of its kind in the Monterey Bay Area.  To continue to provide the excellence in education we’ve been known for since 1977, Spring Hill counts on the support of its families, grandparents, alumni, friends, and community members who value the unique programs offered.  

Annual Giving Campaign dollars are essential to maintaining a low teacher-to-student ratio and small class size, and to recruiting and retaining our outstanding faculty.

The Annual Giving Campaign raises funds to bridge the gap between the income the school receives from tuition and the actual cost of a Spring Hill education each school year.  

Your contribution supports the people and programs that make Spring Hill special.  Funds raised allow tuition to remain low and financial aid to be extended to qualifying families, encouraging diversity and making a Spring Hill education possible for more students.

Our goal is to achieve 100% participation from our current families, board members, faculty and staff members, at whatever level they are able.  Corporations and foundations give great weight to a school’s giving participation rate when making decisions about grant awards. The more of our supporters who give, the more eligible Spring Hill will be for private grant funding.  Your gift of any size today will help bring in many more dollars in support for Spring Hill in the future.

Tuition only covers a percentage of the full cost of a Spring Hill education.  Alumni donations play a crucial role in making up the difference.  Your contribution allows Spring Hill to provide scholarships to qualifying families and to offer the unique programs the school is known for to our next generation of artists and engineers, scholars and innovators.

Corporations and foundations give great weight to a school’s alumni participation rate – not the amount given, but the percentage of alumni who donate – when making decisions about grant awards. The more alumni who give, the more eligible Spring Hill will be for grant funding.  Your gift of any size today will help bring in many more dollars in support for Spring Hill in the future.

Volunteer

Many of our alumni students volunteer their time at Spring Hill, as a way to give back and maintain their connection to our one-of-a-kind faculty and staff.  It’s also a great way for high school students to fulfill their community service hours!

Employer Matching Gifts

Spring Hill receives twice the benefit when companies match their employees’ contributions.   Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match the contributions of their employees' (and sometimes even spouses or retirees) to qualifying charitable organizations.

Inquire with your company’s HR department to find out if they have a matching gift program.  If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and give the completed form to the school office.  

 
Employee Foundation Grants

Many companies also have employee foundations that award grants to local non-profit organizations which are nominated by their employees.  This is a very promising source of funds for our school as the pool of potential grant applicants is limited to only those organizations specifically championed by an employee of the company.  

If your employer has such a foundation, there may be an open grant application process or annual deadlines for submitting grant requests.  Spring Hill works to creatively match funding needs at the school to available grant funds, whether private, corporate, or through a foundation.  We are ready and willing to submit grant requests and proposals, even on short notice.

 
Corporate Sponsorship

Another great way for your employer to make a meaningful contribution to our school is in the form of corporate sponsorship of our annual events and fundraisers.  

Your company might sponsor our annual Invention Convention which takes place in the fall, in partnership with the Tech Museum of San Jose.  Or, perhaps your employer will reserve a table for eight at the annual Spring Hill Parent Club auction gala in the spring.
