Spring Hill School, - the original design thinking school of Santa Cruz - presents its annual Invention Convention, open to the community. A celebration of creativity and design thinking, the Invention Convention is an opportunity for Spring Hill students to display their innovative solutions to common real-world problems. Spring Hill students in grades K-6 use the Design Thinking process as a tool to help solve complex problems and create meaningful and relevant solutions. Students learn to work cooperatively, share their thinking, defend their opinions, and listen to others, resulting in greater collaboration and more effective problem solving for 21st century challenges. Visitors to the Invention Convention are also invited to tour Spring Hill School in action and feel the pulse of individualized, academically challenging, heart-centered education.
