5:30-7:30 pm Spring Hill School Open House
6:00-7:30 pm Invention Convention: See the most innovative children-created inventions in Santa Cruz and beyond!
— Families may invent at the Makers’ Invention Table
7:00 pm Inventions may be taken home by their inventors (please arrive earlier to view all projects)
INVENTION PROCESS
Students follow these steps for their inventions:
Step 1 Empathize: understand challenges
Step 2 Define: explain the one challenge to address
Step 3 Ideate: create a list of any and all possibilities
Step 4 Prototype: create a model of a first invention
Step 5 Test and test again to see how the prototype succeeds!
Step 6 Share the invention experience with those who step into our Invention Convention
Spring Hill School is located at 250 California St, Santa Cruz. Please park in the Methodist Church parking lot, attached to the school.
